On Dec 15, 2015 NASA, Lockheed Martin and Honeywell Aerospace visited Anaren – MSK headquarters located in East Syracuse, NY. This special event showcased a presentation by NASA and highlights from the successful NASA ORION program; Exploration Flight Test-1 mission. In addition, NASA, Lockheed Martin and Honeywell Aerospace Orion representatives thanked the MSK employees for their contribution toward developing the systems needed to enable NASA's future human exploration capabilities in deep space.
NASA presented the Anaren-MSK team with a certificate featuring a flown patch in Commemoration of Exploration Flight Test-1. This patch was flown in space aboard the Orion spacecraft, which traveled 60,000 miles to an altitude of 3,600 miles and returned to Earth at more than 20,000 mph.
NASA, Lockheed Martin and Honeywell Aerospace Orion program management looks forward to another successful flight on the next Orion Program phase, EM-1, which currently has multichip module electronics on the MSK manufacturing line.
